Fiberglass Laminators & Fabricators
Skilled boat Fiberglass Laminators and Fabricators. Who can preform the following tasks & have the skills to help produce a great product.
• Release air bubbles and smooth seams, using rollers.
• Spray chopped fiberglass, resins, and catalysts onto prepared molds or dies using pneumatic spray guns with chopper attachments.
• Select precut fiberglass mats, cloth, and wood bracing materials as required by projects being assembled.
• Pat or press layers of saturated mat or cloth into place on molds, using brushes or hands, and smooth out wrinkles and air bubbles with hands or squeegees.
• Mix catalysts into resins, and saturate cloth and mats with mixtures, using brushes.
• Bond decks and cabin structures of watercraft, using resin-saturated fiberglass.
• Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects by measuring with rulers or micrometers, by checking them visually, or by tapping them to detect bubbles or dead spots.
• Trim excess materials from molds, using hand shears or trimming knives.
• Repair or modify damaged or defective glass-fiber parts, checking thicknesses, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair.
• Cure materials by letting them set at room temperature, placing them under heat lamps, or baking them in ovens. |
Boat Assembly
Engages in assembling fiberglass and component parts.
• Reads work orders and blueprints to determine materials needed.
• Works in performance of tasks, such as laminating, assembling, painting, and inspecting boats and component parts.
• Inspects boats for detects such as air pockets, thickness, or other failures to conform to blueprint specifications.
• Performs other duties and will work alongside workers engaged in laminating and assembling boat components made of fiberglass.
• May measure, cut and install insulation in designated sections of boats, using hand tools.
• May grind interior and exterior contours of hull to remove burrs and rough edges, using portable grinder.
• Saws aluminum trim to specified lengths and cements, crimps, screws, or pounds trim into place, using hacksaw, crimping device, adhesives, screwdriver, and mallet.
• Applies caulking compound under spray rails, windshields, using caulking gun.
• Drills holes and bolts hardware, hatches, and other parts in place, using hand tools.
• Cuts or grinds mounting bases or brackets, using portable electric saws and grinders, and bolts or screws them in place.
• Locates and marks position of hardware, seats, and other parts according to specifications, using rule, template, and marking device.
• Installs parts, such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim, seats, cabinets, and windshields on fiberglass, using hand tools and portable power tools. |
Airbrush Artist
Should be skilled and able to preform the following.
• Must know how to Stir or shake coating liquid and thinner to mix solution to specified consistency.
• Pours solution into airbrush container, couples airbrush to air hose, and starts compressor or opens valve on compressed-air line.
• Turns adjusting sleeve on nozzle of airbrush to regulate spray pattern to size of workpiece or area to be sprayed.
• Presses button on airbrush to spray coating over workpiece, or to spray specified designs and decorations on workpiece, spraying freehand or using stencils, masks, screens, and tape.
• Cleans airbrush nozzle and hose with solvent.
A minimum of 3 years experience is need in vehicle/boat airbrushing.
Must provide a portfolio of work. |

industry. In addition, the candidate must have a strong technical background, demonstrate

• Must have a strong work ethic and the ability to travel extensively.
• The ability to demonstrate tact, good judgment, and exceptional ability to establish and
maintain effective working relationships with current and potential clients.
• Follow up on leads and develop a tracking system, to ensure proper follow through.
• Identify, prioritize, and attend events and promotions and support/demonstrate Glasstream
products (openings, shows, tournaments) |
| Upholstery/Tacking Professional
• Must have the ability to operate industrial sewing machines and have general knowledge and understanding of it.
• Have the ability to take verbal and written directions. As well as read and understand measuring devices, job work orders and how that will relate to the cutting and sewing of materials in accordance to specific patterns and the inspection of materials and products being sewn.
• Must pay attention to details on the patterns in an effort to complete the assignment with a minimum of re-cuts (errors). Ability to work in a team environment to meet the departments goals.

Patch & Polisher
• Body technicians may perform repairs ranging from simple dents or even fiberglass damage of product being extracted from molds.
• Please note that WET SANDING, BUFFING, POLISHING and WAXING experience is required for the job. |
Marine Electricians
• Electricians must have (3) three years of electrical experience installing marine cables.
• Electricians must be skilled with typical hand and power tools, crimping and soldering tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Electricians must be capable of reading and interpreting installation, manufacturing, assembly, drawings and technical manuals.
• Installing fuses, cables and power sources as required
• Removing or repairing defective circuitry
• Performing basic troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Experience with high voltage and low voltage systems |
